Sage Inspired by Life : Recommended Wedding Vendor
Last Monday I had the delight of discovering amazing boutique Sage Inspired by Life on Bristol's Gloucester Road which is run by the lovely Becky Sage. An amazing little gem of a shop, it is filled with the most unique and individual must haves!
All of the products she stocks are hand chosen by Becky herself and some of my favourites include heavenly cinnamon and orange scented love hearts, giant wooden games (perfect for summer garden weddings), vintage storage boxes, marry me candle votives (ideal if you're planning on a romantic surprise proposal!), knitted tea cosys and gorgeous old fashioned wicker picnic baskets.
I highly recommend an enjoyable hour browsing around their lovely store picking up some pre-wedding treats or getting inspiration for your gift list! Or if you can't make it down to Gloucester Road in Bristol where her shop is based, you can still buy many of Becky's beautiful hand-picked wares from her website at www.sageinspiredbylife.co.uk. You can also visit her store at uber chic shopping bohemia notonthehighstreet.com

Wedding magazine features
I've been really pleased that three of the weddings I covered over the summer have been featured in leading bridal magazines this month! Esther and Lance are in the current issue of You & Your Wedding, Camille & Basile are in Wedding Magazine and Ian & Laura are in Wedding Flowers. It's really lovely to see work in print, here are some low res scans to give you an idea!

New blog coming soon
No, don't worry I haven't fallen off the face of the planet! :) I am working on a new and improved version of this blog and all the new software is taking a bit of getting used to! I'm hoping to get that all online and changed over in the next week, so keep your eyes peeled here and I will be posting the link very shortly!
Saved for my new blog will be my visit to Sage Inspired By Life, a fantastic little boutique down the Gloucester Road in Bristol that is crammed full of gorgeous love and wedding related goodies. I'll also be sharing some very exciting photography related news that I have coming up, I can't wait for that!

Brr it's cold!
I'm so sad! I was planning a funky bridal fashion shoot for Monday in Bristol, but with the crazy snow and my car skidding everywhere I think we may have to postpone! I dropped hubby Lee off at his work this morning and a car on the opposite side of the road slid on some ice and did a full circle almost right into my car - yikes! Also been seeing lots of slipping and sliding from other places around the country on youtube.
Bit annoyed about it because I have a beautiful dress on loan... Maybe we'll just have to get out in the snow - brr, would feel bad for the model though!

Google is fixed!
Wow - I'm lucky to have seen the glitch in google's search engine - it is now fixed and your search results are now reported as safe for your computer!
Well done google and happy web surfing to the world!
Where would we be without google?!

What happened to Google on the afternoon of 31 January 2009?!
Hmmm - I was surfing the web today as you do on a Saturday afternoon only to find that there was something wrong with the search results in google.
All sites were coming up with warnings that they may harm my computer, then I noticed my own site was reported in google with this warning too!
No matter how hard I tried I could not access any site without this warning! What would the world do without google - where would we go to search for information on the web? Thankfully I remembered Yahoo! and Microsoft also provided search results and so I searched for any related news about this terrible occurrence.
No news of it, except Google's share price had decreased by only just over 1%.
So - experts say this is just a small glitch and expect google to be up and running again within several hours, allowing people to see their search results from google without warnings!
In the mean time, feel free to use yahoo! and microsoft search engines!

I just joined Twitter (and I only just got the hang of Facebook!) - I don't know if I'm doing everything right on it yet, but it does seem strangely addictive! If you want to follow me my profile can be found at http://twitter.com/RosieParsons - hope to see you there!

New family member!
Over Christmas we got to meet the latest addition to the family down at my Dad's house in Exeter - wonderful Cavalier King Charles puppy Jasper. These photos were taken on a walk near Exeter - I love the winter colours and he is so cute!

Huddersfield family photos
Over Christmas I had the great chance to drive around the country a little bit and visit relatives who I haven't seen for years. We also had my cousin Dave's wedding up in Newcastle on January 2nd, so en route we were able to pop by Huddersfield to see some other members of the family for a well earned pit stop. Of course I also had my trusty camera with me to capture everyone, which was great as we don't get to see our oop north lot that often!

On the road! Phoenix, Arizona
So I'm over half way through my first trip to Arizona - I'm here for a wedding photography conference with the world's leading wedding photographers, so it's been an amazing trip!
Most days seminars start at 8:30am and run all day, so I've been pretty tired but have certainly gained a lot of knowledge!
I also had the chance to pop along to ImagingUSA, a huge photography trade show in Phoenix on Tuesday morning which was really interesting.
Here are some highlights - I'll post some more tomorrow!

Christmas highlights - Bristol, London and Dartmoor
Hope you've had a good Christmas break! We've been all over the place so far this Christmas!
The big day itself was spent in London in North Finchley with all my cousins, then it was down to Bristol to see Lee's family on Boxing Day. We had a great time with a completely full house, standing room only so many people were there!
Right now we are in Exeter, loving the beautiful weather which has been perfect for country Devonshire walks with my Father's gorgeous new Spaniel puppy Jasper, and today we headed up to Dartmoor and met with some very friendly ponies! The sun was really low in the sky and gave a beautiful warm light, so I was very glad I had my camera with me!
Here are some photographic highlights so far! I especially love the one of Lee's aunt dressed up as Santa - hilarious!

Dodmoor House wedding
Finally another blog update! It's been a bit quiet since November, as I've been catching up with album designs, print orders and marketing.
Last weekend I helped out fellow photographer Sarah Vivienne at one of her weddings at the lovely Dodmoor House in Northamptonshire. I love working with Sarah - we have very similar styles, but manage to get really different perspectives on the same event and she is great fun to be around.
The wedding was Chris and Helen's, and they had some wonderful Christmassy touches including mulled wine being served, which made the room smell absolutely amazing. I also loved the vintage bridal car - check out the fun photo of the male congregation members having to push it when it got stuck in the mud!!
Here are some of my shots from the day...
